Here are some pictures of my 10 films, 10 Days exhibit for the 2012 Exchange Show.
This show is for students who have returned from exchange during fall 2011 to summer 2012. Each student must choose a piece of work either made whilst on exchange, or made as a result of the exchange.
I’d have to say the show was one of the more successful exhibits set up ECUAD’s Concourse Gallery. The opening night was PACKED (I’m afraid I wasn’t able to take pictures that night) probably the fullest I’ve ever seen. Every day there were students stopping to take a look at the exhibits too, I certainly got more viewers than I expected.
I got a pretty good reaction from teachers and students all around. I was quite chuffed, particularly since I wasn’t sure how the reaction was going to be. (I got less than stellar crit for my work back in Edinburgh)
Perhaps different audience has different preference?

I almost forgot – I still have pictures from my UK trip to share with you all! While in Edinburgh, Scotland I heard about the amazing views of the city and ocean from Arthur’s Set, which is an extinct volcano! So cool. It was a rather steep climb, so Alisa and I took the TARDIS to the top. The view did not disappoint, but I found the wind to be quite bothersome. Next stop - Wales!
I have also been to all of these a lot.
I’m pretty sure I could pinpoint exact location to you on a map if you asked.
enchantedengland: Victoria Street, Edinburgh, Scotland. This street is colourful and gothic and this combination works, which is pretty amazing.
I have been to there.
A lot.
After London, Alisa and I traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland. It’s one of the most beautiful cities in the Universe! I almost lost track of the TARDIS there because they still have blue police boxes on the street in Old Town. It was so quaint.
I have been to there.
Earlier this month [March 2012] Edinburgh College of Art had an art exhibition featuring works from the Fashion department, the Crafts department, the Illustration department and our own Animation department.
Although I did mention it here on my other blog, I neglected to actually post anything on my main art blog.

That thing aspirating the font is called a moon-haggis. (made by Ruoxi)
Here are some photos of the Animation department’s exhibit (just outside the animation department) just before the show opened.

We had a whole row of computers showing the department’s work from last semester, as well as some work from earlier this semester witch can be seen on Vimeo.
We also had that lovely projector (seen above) with a demo-reel of our work, in addition to printed stills on the walls with tags about each of us.
Here was my contribution to the print wall:

My featured work in the exhibit included the following:
Part of our Lives - Omar segment
Day 09 - The Late Mr. Frawglgie
People need to know this. (x)
This was really informative actually.

So I went out on a last visit at my grandparents Thursday and Friday.
The weather was unnaturally warm and sunny both days, so on Friday morning (after the fog lifted) I went on a short walk.
So there I was minding my own business when…
A WILD BABY FOX appears!

It was splashing around in one of the streams, and it saw me, but didn’t seem too concerned. It must have been out for the first time, and therefore not wise to the ways of the world, because I was only 10 feet away.
I didn’t get a good picture I’m afraid, because I was too worried about where the mom might be, and not scaring her/giving her a reason to attack me.
but did follow the cub (from a distance) and eventually found the mom:

I did get a picture of the cub, but like I said, it wasn’t a good one. So let’s play a game: Can you spot the fox cub?

Give up? I can’t blame you, took me I while to find it too, but I knew he was in there somewhere. So read more for the answer.
